About Us
At Gold Coast Breast Centre, we aim for the treatment experience from initial appointment to after-surgery to be seamless. Our mission is to ensure a personalised approach upholding each woman’s individual significance.
Our care extends beyond surgery including support from a breast care nurse and allied health specialists. As a woman, I was particularly drawn to the specialty of breast surgery due to an innate understanding of the sensitive nature of breast disease and the complex interplay with both physical and emotional impact.
My mission is to create a breast centre to encompass the multifaceted aspect of breast surgery.
Gold Coast Breast Centre is led by Dr Maree Kekeff, a highly skilled breast and general surgeon (AHPRA Registration MED001664328) specialising in breast cancer, oncoplastic breast surgery (reconstruction) and aesthetic breast procedures.
With advanced training through the prestigious advanced breast surgery fellowship by BreastSurgANZ and extensive experience at leading Australian and international centres, Dr Maree combines expert surgical care with a compassionate patient focused approach.
Our Services
Benign Breast Conditions
Dr. Kekeff sees and manages patients with a variety of benign breast conditions, including but not limited to fibroadenomas, cysts, adenosis, duct ectasia, papillomas, LCIS, and mastitis. Each patient receives a personalised approach to ensure thorough care and understanding of their condition.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer comes in several types, each requiring a tailored treatment approach. Dr. Kekeff carefully considers the type, size, grade, and stage of the cancer to determine the best timing and method for treatments and surgery, ensuring a comprehensive, individualised treatment plan.
Breast Implants
Dr. Kekeff addresses all conditions related to breast implants, including breast implant removal with capsule excision, breast implant replacement, and breast augmentation (augmentation mammoplasty) . Dr. Kekeff is dedicated to delivering precise, personalised care tailored to each patient’s unique goals and circumstances.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy) and Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammaplasty)
Dr. Kekeff offers breast lift and breast reduction procedures. Breast lifts are available for patients experiencing changes after significant weight loss, breastfeeding, or breast implant removal. Breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) surgery is provided for those with macromastia (abnormally large breasts) to alleviate discomfort and reduce the volume of breast tissue.

Initial Consultation
At your initial appointment, Dr Maree – The Breast Surgeon will perform a thorough history and examination. Together you we will formulate a treatment plan that is sensitive to each woman’s presentation and guide further investigations as required.
Surgery
A procedure will be booked in a time appropriate manner with clear advice provided for pre-and post-surgery. Review will be organised as often as needed.
Post-op Review
After surgery Dr Maree will debrief and discuss with you the findings and results, as well as examine the surgery site and conduct appropriate wound care.
